Top 3 Clues that a Party Bus Company May be a Scam
Let’s face it, There is always that fear that you planned months for an event may it be a wedding or Prom you book with a company and You get that dreaded call a day before saying we are going to have to cancel or even worse they don’t call at all or show up and the vehicle was not what you thought it was.
Here are some reasons Why.
1. They didn’t require a deposit.
A company knows to require a deposit because they want to ensure you are a real customer and will not cancel on them last minute! If a company has a reservation in your name they should not let anyone else book during your time frame. Without a deposit on file, the company could take a higher bid for the same date thus canceling on you when that high bid is confirmed.
2. They don’t send you a contract.
Without a contract on file, there is no official agreement or understanding of service to be provided. Do not book from an unknown company without a contract.
3. It was too good to be true.
If you get a price WAY less than a lot of other companies chances are that it may be too good to be true. (And in many cases it is) Party Buses are not $49 an hour. Just like a Lamborghini is not $100. Know the value of what you are looking for and raise your budget if necessary.
Things to take away from this.
Just because a company has a website doesn’t make it legit. Being Cheap could get you burned. All three of these occur three is a good chance that you could be in for a surprise.
